Exclusive! Disha: I was happy to see that the audience is ready to see girls take charge in 'Malang'

Disha Patani has all the reasons to be happy and overjoyed at the moment. Her latest hit film, ‘Malang’ is having an impressive run at the box-office. Along with the film doing so good, Disha’s fans are loving it and finding it not less than a treat to watch her mesmerize them with her acting skills and hot looks. We recently got in an exclusive conversation with an elated Disha who spoke to us about the success of her movie, her experience shooting for the film, Valentine’s Day plans and much more.The Mohit Suri directorial also features Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Elli AvrRam in key roles.

I am just very happy, it was a very different part for me and I am glad it’s working, the story is working, people are enjoying it that’s very important and we all have put in a lot of hard work to make this film. It’s the best thing that it has been accepted.

I was at Gaiety for one of the days and I saw the reaction through the last part in the climax and I was so happy with the fact that the audience is ready to see kind of girls to see as someone taking charge so it was pretty nice for me to see that, people were standing and clapping and stuff. That was the best thing that I saw. You know when they actually think of girls as the stronger ones, so it was pretty nice to see that.

Consistency. You need to be consistent throughout whatever you’re doing and that’s the only mantra and I guess hard work is the mantra, there’s no other way out.


I am also very introvert but I’m quite of adventurous but not so much but I am , I mean I would love to do water sports in my real life and I was very excited to do those things. But I guess I am also very independent like Sara. Sara actually enjoyed trying to explore life. She is the type of girl who knows what she wants and she goes and gets it so I guess it’s a nice way of showing girls that there are girls too who are independent and can take matter in their own hands.

I have never approached anyone (laughs).I was too shy and I used to have crushes and stuff bit I was never in that zone because I used to feel like if I speak to them that crush would go and nothing would work, it’s nice just to keep looking from far (laughs) so sad never approached anyone (laughs).


Actually it’s all about acting (laughs). We have to give credit to Mohit sir for the way he has shot it and from day one Aditya and me both of us connected really well and we both are very chilled out, most of it comes when you’re comfortable with each other and also we are pretty chilled out both of us so it was pretty good so I guess we connected and Mohit sir knows how to shoot I think the credit goes to him.

The only time I went to a rave party was when I am on set when we were shooting the rave party setup. That was the first time I saw that kind of a culture and I was pretty mesmerized as this world is something that I’ve not seen honestly. It was pretty interesting to see how people from all across the world come to Goa and live the kind of life they live.


Oh, I loved it! It’s looking bigger and better and I don’t know how they always surpass their own film you know, after ‘Baaghi 2’ this looks even bigger and better and I am sure a lot of hard work has gone in creating this film and I wish them luck and I am sure it’s going to be a mega mega mega hit! It’s something that you’re gonna look forward to and everyone needs to look forward to ‘Baaghi 3’.

I don’t know I hope someone proposes me or something like it’s been years now. I hope finally now that someone asks me out on Valentines. Just waiting for someone to ask me out (laughs).
